Recently claims have been made that sand castings, when used to prototype die castings, require more draft than the eventual die castings.
This is absolutely false. Some prototype suppliers may even advise the engineer to change the design to accommodate the prototyping process. The precision fine-grain sand casting process used by Aluma Cast does not require such a change.
